Becky, Drake and their mismatched allies seek to destroy the cursed weapons that threaten reality itself. The Grey Witch, however – directing her legions – has plans to claim the guns for herself, no matter what lengths she has to go to in order to get them. Meanwhile, The Sons of Abraham are putting some sort of backup plan in motion in order to protect the status quo. It seems that no matter who is in possession of The Six, high prices will be paid and tragedy is on the cards

The last few volumes of The Sixth Gun have felt a little ponderous at times, spending an awful lot of time going nowhere fast. The same can’t be said of volume 7, which maintains a breakneck pace, the story being full of action, revelations and devastating consequences for everyone.

It’s truly epic and unbelievably riveting; with losses and betrayals mounting, it seems as if all hope is lost. The action only lets up in the final issue of the volume, which gives readers a very important revelation about who The Grey Witch actually is.

It truly feels as if the final act of the overall story is here with the events of volume 7, which once again brings us back to the high water mark set by the first volumes of the series. Excellent stuff.
