Roll for Good are a European/UK-based community that utilise tabletop roleplaying to raise funds for charity.

The diverse Roll for Good community – which includes their management team – is wonderfully diverse and aims to represent people of all nationalities, regardless of how they identify according to gender, sexuality, race, ability or neurodivergence.

Their first charity event – held in 2021 – was a livestream of six one-shot games, held over two days, in order to benefit mental health charity Mind. Roll for Good then returned at Halloweeen – for a one day event featuring four one-shot TTRPG sessions, again to benefit Mind.

Over the course of the two events, Roll for Good raised more than £5,500 for Mind’s worthy cause.

This year, Roll for Good held a further two-day event in May – again featuring six one-shot TTRPG actual plays – this time in order to raise funds for World Central Kitchen. The mission of World Central Kitchen is to provide food for people affected by major crises; currently, that means assisting communities in and around Ukraine. Over £1,500 was raised.

Next up for Roll for Good is a Halloween event on Saturday 22nd October, which is set to feature three livestreamed one-shot adventures from Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade and indie horror TTRPG Camp Slaughter.

This time around, the charity they’ll be looking to raise funds for is Mermaids, which supports gender-diverse youth and the ongoing fight for transgender rights.

Current events have – sadly – made this charity even more important and worthy of support.

Accessible via twitch.tv/rollforgood, in addition to the live TTRPG action there’ll be pre-recorded shows and panels, more live content and even giveaways to celebrate donation milestones.
