Gerry Anderson’s puppets-and-explosions action shows were a mainstay of kids TV in the UK for decades, with generations of fans brought up on the imaginative, endlessly inventive range of shows that sprang from Anderson’s mind.

Time Bomb Comics tapped into the timeless appeal and nostalgia for the Gerry Anderson shows with their comic, Spectrum #1.

An anthology comic that didn’t take the obvious route in terms of the shows adapted, it covered New Captain Scarlet (a CGI update of the iconic 60s show), Space Precinct (one of Anderson’s rare live action endeavours) and Terrahawks, one of the final puppet shows produced by Gerry Anderson.

It was a lot of fun; you can check out my review here.

Now, Time Bomb Comics are currently seeking funds on Kickstarter for the second issue, with some exciting bonuses for fans at the higher tiers – including exclusive artwork.

Much of the creative team remains the same for the second issue – which bodes very well indeed.

If, like me, you grew up on Anderson’s shows and were always pleased to see them repeated on TV every few years, you’ll be right at home with Spectrum.

If you did miss out on the first issue, it’s included in numerous tiers in the Kickstarter campaign for the second issue – so it’s well worth taking a look for yourself.

You can check out and back Spectrum #2 at this link.
