After weathering and overcoming a minor AI art controversy, the King is back – and Duke Nukem’s two Evercade collections are now available for pre-order.
Set for release on November 28th 2023, the Duke Nukem Collection 1 cartridge features remastered versions of the original 2D platformers featuring the character, Duke Nukem 1+2.
The third game on this cartridge is the brilliant first person shooter – arguably one of the few to escape Doom’s shadow in the golden age of the FPS – Duke Nukem 3D.
Though the second collection doesn’t feature games that are particularly fondly remembered, it’ll be one for conpletists and the curious.
Duke Nukem Collection 2 features third person adventures Duke Nukem: Time to Kill and Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, as well as the excellent GBA update of Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem Advance.
In other news, some release dates for upcoming Evercade collections have shifted, although not by much.

Sunsoft Collection 1 and Delphine Software Collection 1 were both due at the end of September, but will now release on October 6th 2023.

Additionally, cartridges Full Void, Full Void Special Edition (which sold out during its initial pre-order campaign), and Home Computer Heroes Collection 1 were due at the end of October, but will now release on November 14th 2023.
It’s been a very exciting year for Evercade – undoubtedly the best yet for owners of the console – and it looks like it’s still going to go out with a bang, despite a few minor issues.
