The mission to pull the shipwreck of the Boreas from the ice on LV-695 has hit a big snag, with swarms of Xenomorphs making their presence violently known.

And Zasha, going AWOL to recover the synthetic body of her android ‘stepfather’, Dayton, is in for a huge surprise: Dayton has managed to keep himself powered up in the many years since the planet was abandoned.

And it seems that Dayton has a much more interesting past than even Zasha knows…

Declan Shalvey and Andrea Broccardo continue to go from strength to strength here, with numerous flashbacks and some very intriguing plot developments that lead to a pretty stunning final panel.

We’re headed, for once, into fairly uncharted territory for the Alien franchise – which seems all too reliant on the same tropes and plot points far too often.

There’s some really tense scenes and incredibly memorable imagery in this issue; Shalvey and Broccardo’s run with the franchise so far is unquestionably the strongest it’s been at Marvel yet.
