Liam has finally managed to catch up with Lilith, the Succubus that he has a teeny tiny (ok, not so much) soft spot for.
Yet there’s no rest for the wicked, and before he can arrange a date with her, he’s got a certain Great Old One to get on the census, as well as the ghosts of three slaves.
How does one awkward, white census taker grab the attention of three African American ghosts, and help them to pass over to the other side?
This is a sweet, good natured issue with more than a touch of political and social commentary. It’s deftly handled, though that’s perhaps to be expected from African American co-creator Marc Bernardin.
Census is turning out to be a wonderful series, with witty writing, fantastic art by Sebastian Piriz (whose Great Old One is truly spectacular!) and a lot of heart.
It’s another comic series that seems to have flown under the radar, and it definitely deserves a much bigger audience.
