The Energon-related revelation in Void Rivals #10 continues to pay off in interesting ways, particularly for the dynamic between our two protagonists, who have been working together (reluctantly or otherwise) since the first issue.
There’s also a much stronger meshing with the Transformers-related elements here, and though it’s not quite seamless yet (though Springer definitely feels like he properly fits with the goings-on in the main story), the debut of one of my favourite characters has got me back on side. Admittedly, that’s a personal bias thing, particularly as this specific character tends to be a controversial one within the Transformers fandom.
In any case, I’m continuing to enjoy Void Rivals; after its sometimes inconsistent first ten issues, it’s finally becoming a bit more coherent and Robert Kirkman does seem to be slowly getting things brought closer together in the wider, Energon Universe side of things.
