The universe is at war, and the native Atolans seek protection from the Eritraxians, with humans on hand to assist the indigenous population. In the midst of this turmoil, the human Caladin, harbouring an important secret, falls for an Atolan, and his actions will decide the fate of the world, and its people.

Though this second issue is set in the same universe as the first issue of Stellarlands, the story stands alone. So, though it may help to have a bit of background on the intergalactic conflict, and the super-powered individuals involved in it, there’s no need to read the first issue before reading the second.

Ben Worrell’s detailed and realistic art, complemented perfectly by Wilson Go’s colours, help to fully immerse the reader in the alien environment and the conflicts at the heart of the story.

Max Ferrada’s script is great too, giving readers a heartfelt story, which has some genuinely touching moments.

It’s excellent stuff, and feels pretty unique in its blend of sci-fi, war, romance and superhero action. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out more Stellarlands, with issue 3 launching on Kickstarter soon (you can sign up for the prelaunch here).

Many thanks to Max Ferrada for providing me with a copy of Stellarlands #2 for review purposes.

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
