Danger lurks around every corner of Wag’s post-technology world, and just as his memory of what befell civilization is coming back, tragedy strikes.
This was an incredibly eventful and emotional issue, packed full of insight as to what happened to the world, and to Wag himself. Though not everything is clearly spelled out, enough pieces of the puzzle are given to the reader that it can be put together, somewhat, or at least interpreted in their own way.
One thing’s for sure, and that’s the fact that bubbling up from beneath the surface is a damning indictment of our current society and political situations across the world, not just America.
Given the symbolism of the colourful birds, I’d had a certain social media platform’s descent into misinformation and toxicity in mind from the start, and I think that was almost certainly intentional on the part of writer Scott Hoffman and artist Juan Bobillo.
This is the penultimate issue, and I’m not expecting everything to be neatly wrapped up by the end of the series. But it’s a story that’s already lingering in the mind; it’s melancholy and heartfelt, as well as very politically motivated, if (like Wag himself, perhaps) your mind is open to reading it on that frequency.
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!
All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
