And so, our time with Wag and his family is at an end. Yet before everything wraps up, we have the ultimate showdown between Wag and the Queen, with the tiny Sas caught in the middle. In the District, Lin is in danger, searching for Wag and Sas.

This is an epic, action packed finale, and really feels like the climax of a blockbuster movie. It’s got danger, tragedy, a whole lot of heart and, ultimately, a real, genuine optimism too.

Though not everything is wrapped up neatly, or clearly explained, I still felt as if the conclusion of Wag’s story was handled well by writer Scott Hoffman and artist Juan Bobillo, the latter of which creates some incredibly atmospheric, beautifully coloured imagery over the course of the series, this issue included.

It’s a series that I wish got more attention than it seems to have had, particularly with the pedigree of its creators (Hoffman is a co-founder of the pop band, Scissor Sisters).

Maybe it’s because we don’t get all the answers, or perhaps it’s the often melancholy, downbeat tone, but for whatever reason Wag doesn’t seem to have reached the audience it deserves, and that’s a real shame. So here I am, doing my part to recommend it!

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
