Dr. Edgar Zomboss is up to no good, again. With plans to create a Sun Vacuum, he’s well on his way to ridding Neighborville of all plants, giving him and his legions of zombie minions a chance at getting their hands on countless tasty brains.
However, even the best laid plans of the smartest zombie in the world can go awry when other zombies are involved, and he’s soon accidentally created a time machine, and is causing havoc throughout history. Leave it to Nate, Patrice and Crazy Dave to stop him and restore peace and harmony to the past, present and future, via the ages of dinosaurs, pirates, ancient Egypt, the disco-tastic 70s and more besides!
Paul Tobin’s script is as light and silly as it was for the first volume, with Ron Chan’s gorgeous artwork being the perfect visual adaptation of the video game. In this instance, it’s the time-hopping antics of the somewhat forgotten mobile sequel, Plants vs Zombies 2, which is being adapted, so there’s plenty of references to that particular, micro transaction-ridden title here.
It’s all good, clean fun, with plenty of silly puns and a lack of genuine danger, making it a perfect read for younger Plants vs Zombies fans. Like the previous volume, Lawnmageddon, it’s not exactly overflowing with a deep story, but there’s at least a bit more focus on a MacGuffin and an objective this time, pretty much from the start.
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!
All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
