Curious Cat opens their eyes and finds themselves in a bright house full of colourful, anthropomorphic animal friends, and though everyone seems charming, friendly and incredibly welcoming, there’s something sinister bubbling under the adorable surface of their new surroundings.
Who is Mother? Is Empathetic Elephant the only one of the animals who knows what’s going on? And who is Curious Cat, really?
Those are the questions pondered by this excellent, cartoon-style horror comic, which is slightly marred only by its blurb, which gives away a bit too much about what’s going on in the story.
It’s very well illustrated, with some very neat visual details that give the reader plenty of incentive to pay attention to each panel. The mystery is nicely set up too, and the script does a great job of juggling the story’s humour alongside its creepier elements.
The first issue isn’t too scary, but it’s certainly not going to be cutesy, cartoon-style shenanigans for much longer after the events in these initial pages; it’s definitely worth a read, in any case.

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!
