Someone is determined to track Alex down, and librarian Lo may just be the key they need to get their hands on him.

I’m really enjoying the urban fantasy vibe of Otherkin so far, and this third issue brings us at least some of the answers to the questions that we all no doubt have about Alex, and his shape shifting abilities.

Though there’s much more exposition here than in the previous two issues, it feels no less dramatic or exciting, and an air of mystery is still maintained. We may learn more about Alex, but certainly far from everything.

The very artwork-led approach to telling the story may be slightly lessened, given Alex’s extended, expository dialogue sequence, but there’s still lots of fantastic details in Victor Costa’s deceptively minimalist art.

All of that is to say that the overall narrative of Otherkin continues to be hugely compelling in this third issue, and I can’t wait to read issue 4.

Currently on a bi-monthly publishing schedule, issue 3 is out now and issue 4 is due in mid-March. You can get yourself physical copies of Otherkin from DerryComics. You can read Otherkin digitally, as I did, via GlobalComix.

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
