Though this isn’t usually the kind of content I’d cover here, I’ve been sufficiently impressed with Volutz – both the company and their products – that I wanted to give them some coverage.

Volutz are a small company based in Sweden, born with an admirable aim: to create products that really are better from a quality and value standpoint. Something I’ve found in my years of seemingly endless replacement of broken or lost charging cables is that there really doesn’t seem to be much difference between a cable you pay a premium for (usually out of necessity – for example when you’re on holiday or just travelling between destinations) and one that you buy cheap from online retailers such as Amazon, who list seemingly infinite variations on the same types of cable, all racing to the bottom to be the cheapest available (which is, I have to say, what often makes the difference for me in the cable I choose to purchase).

Yet Volutz understand that premium really should mean premium. Though their cables are not the cheapest you’ll find, what they do provide is a real sense of quality and durability with some excellent touches, such as colour coding for different cable lengths.

Even the packaging is solid and re-usable, reinforcing the fact that you’re buying a reliable and thoughtfully put together product even before you use it. The cables are solid, designed to avoid twisting and tangling – and their performance is excellent too.

Available from Amazon here, I’d highly recommend checking out the multipacks, which aren’t even as expensive as you may imagine, given the quality of the products. The cables are available in USB-C, Lightning and Micro USB varieties – and if you need extra durable cables, you can even plump for the Armorcord product line (though I haven’t tried these myself!).

Disclaimer: Volutz provided me with cables to check out and review, but I’ve given my honest opinion of them here. I am genuinely blown away by their quality and reliability – and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase their cables in the future.
