Indie creators on itch.io have banded together to offer some phenomenal bundles of games (mostly video games and tabletop RPGs) for some very worthy causes – and I figured it was well worth highlighting them to draw attention to them; though yes, they represent great value for money, most importantly they really are going to help out causes that are very topical and urgent right now.
First up – and with little explanation needed – we have the Bundle for Ukraine. Proceeds from the bundle will be split 50/50 between two charities – with these details taken directly from the bundle’s page:
The bundle itself contains 998 (!) games, comics, TTRPGs and other items – including an array of very high profile indie titles as well as plenty of hidden, lesser-known gems. The minimum cost for this bundle is a phenomenally low $10, but if you can afford to donate more then please do so; it’s an urgent and worthwhile cause, with funds going directly to the two organisations named above, both of which are undertaking vital relief work in the region. The link to the bundle can be found here. Note that the bundle ends today and is very close to its $6m target at the time of writing.
Secondly, there’s the tabletop RPG bundle which is raising funds to help fight for trans rights in Texas; Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Attorney General’s Office have recently made declarations that will make life harder, if not outright dangerous, both for trans people – already one of the most marginalised and under fire groups in the world – and their supportive families.
I’ll once more let the words on the page speak for the charities who’ll receive funds as a result of support from the bundle:
‘Trans children are extremely vulnerable, and the actions of the Texas government will put them and any supportive loved ones in danger. Providing funds to trans advocacy groups and support networks helps keep trans folx afloat in Texas.
Proceeds from this bundle will be split between two organizations: Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) and Organización Latina de Trans en Texas (OLTT). TENT supports gender diverse equality in Texas through educational efforts on an individual, community, corporate, and legislative level. They also provide emergency relief fund grants to trans people in need.
Organización Latina de Trans en Texas is a trans-centered, trans-run nonprofit that focuses on creating safe spaces for trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex Texans. They provide shelter space, both long and short term residences, gender and name change legal aid, and other community building services for trans people.’
This bundle contains a diverse array of 493 TTRPGs and related materials, for a minimum donation of just $5. You can find the TTRPGS for Trans Rights in Texas bundle here. This one is running for another 17 days as of the time of writing and is around $100k away from reaching its target. Please support them if you can!

However, I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Thank you so much!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
