Arriving in 2022, retro-inspired 2D beat ’em up Jitsu Squad is looking incredibly promising. Up to four players can simultaneously take on hordes of bad guys using massive combos and impressive super moves.

Jitsu Squad has a beautiful cartoon aesthetic with a real hand drawn feel. Johnny Gioeli – the singer with Crush 40 who’s also known for his Sonic the Hedgehog music – provides the game’s tunes.
Two player tag team mode is one of the unique features that sets Jitsu Squad apart from similar titles – and it sees players each controlling a team of two fighters.

Though no date has been set for Jitsu Squad’s digital or physical release on Switch, PS4 or PS5, it is due to arrive in 2022, with news on the Xbox version to follow soon.
