Though last week’s episode felt a little like filler, it was still an awful lot of fun. And is it such a crime, your Honour, for an episode of a TV show to be just that – a one-off, mostly done-in-one story that doesn’t need to tie into a bigger narrative too deeply? Will this week’s episode be more of the same, or will we see a larger arc coming into play? Let’s find out!

Titania is laying claim to the She-Hulk name, having trademarked it and used it to launch a range of beauty products. Can Jen find a way to get the name – which she believes is rightfully hers – back from the vapid influencer?

There’s some interesting groundwork being laid here, albeit in a very gentle, unhurried fashion. I mentioned episode four feeling like filler, but interestingly, even some of the more character-based, seemingly one-off threads from the episode do pay off here. I do find the humourous courtroom drama of She-Hulk to be an entertaining angle and it really does set itself apart from not just other MCU outings, but superhero movies and shows in general.

The focus on the struggle of women in the workplace and in their personal lives is a neat angle too; again, setting She-Hulk apart from its peers. Unremarkable mansplainers get the spotlight shone on themselves quite brightly here, not underservedly.

There’s an exciting tease in the final shot, though it won’t be a surprise to anyone who’s seen the She-Hulk trailers. Missing this week is any form of post-credit scene, which is a shame given how fun they’ve been.

Another breezy, charming episode which uses its setting and feminine point of view really well, then. Let the haters hate – the rest of us can just enjoy She-Hulk for the fun, light and amusing show that it is.
