Last ditch battles are breaking out in several vital areas, with betrayals and double crosses coming thick and fast. The last, best hope for humanity may be Supergirl – but is there any way she can expose herself to the sun and regain her powers?

Issue #10 of DC vs Vampires was a bit of an incoherent mess; it’s a real shame as the premise of this non-canon series showed an awful lot of promise at the beginning.

I’m sorry to say that issue #11 is just as difficult to follow – and it also pulls a weird last minute addition to the cast for very little reason, then pretty much wastes them in a fight scene that’s incredibly confusing.

That’s a major problem at this stage: so many characters are depicted and it’s so difficult to keep track of who’s still human, who’s a vampire and which side they’re even on.

The art doesn’t help; what once felt visually unique and brilliantly stylised now just feels too muddled to work out what’s going on.

The cliffhanger is great; with only one issue left, it seems daft not to stick around and see how all of this plays out, right?
