Currently seeking funds via Kickstarter, Frenemies Inc is a card game for 2-5 players that brings cutthroat business to your tabletop – in a fast paced and hilarious way. Stabbing your friends in the back has never been so much fun!

Taking just minutes to learn, Frenemies Inc sees players attempting to become the richest person at the table – by any means necessary.

Of course, you don’t have to betray your friends.

But business is business, right?

The ultimate aim of the game is to build a $1 million company before anyone else does; each turn starts with a choice of resource or valuation cards, then building your company’s valuation over the course of your turn.

Investing in assets such as products, insurance and customers, you’ll then be able to bluff, attack, protect your business or even take risks that may – or may not – pay off.

If you have a bad feeling about the way your business is going, you can go on holiday!

Picking up a bankruptcy card can see you out of the running – but you can perhaps save yourself with a shell company or a rebrand.

Frenemies Inc looks like a deeply thematic and enjoyable experience that can be tailored by each player depending on how they want to approach the experience and deal with their friends. Or enemies.

What’s especially neat is that the creators of Frenemies Inc have intended for the game to be a way of building awareness and perception of the sometimes opaque and unwelcoming world of business – albeit in an entertaining and somewhat lighthearted way.

You’ll notice famous memes being satirised on the game’s cards, but there’s more to Frenemies Inc than ‘just’ the card game.

The creators are also looking to expand their comic strips, featuring the anthropomorphic business animals in the game, to larger content pieces.

You can help with this, of course by pledging your support for the game on Kickstarter here.

There’s numerous tiers and some great extras included at certain levels, including playmats for each player, for example.

As the game is fully funded, it’ll definitely be making its way to the tabletop, with launch currently estimated for October 2024.
