The Cenobites and the Nightbreed are at war, and Alastor is using the opportunity to try and seize power in Hell. The enemy of your enemy is your friend, as the saying goes; Pinhead, in an attempt to stop Alastor, teams up with Boone/Cabal and the ‘Breed to stop the ambitious Alastor from succeeding.

Though that might sound like a promising end to this two part crossover, don’t be fooled; it’s an absolute mess, with far too many characters, tons of seemingly random comings and goings, and tons of gross out imagery with little substance to back it all up. It’s certainly very adult, shocking stuff, particularly given its early 90s publication date, but it’s all sex and violence (and both combined), with no rhyme or reason to any of it.

If you ever wanted to see the bloated, misshapen Vasty Moses ejaculating over the Cenobites, here’s your chance (and it’s not the only element of this story that goes way too far over the line; nor is it the ‘worst’ part of it).

It says something when that’s the most memorable element of an exciting clash of two famous horror universes; no doubt the mischievous, psychosexual horror of Clive Barker informed the goings-on in this story, but writer DG Chichester forgot to actually make any interesting points alongside the gross out imagery and subject matter.

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
