A short but important update today for those of you who have been reading all of my Evercade coverage; four more titles are heading for Legacy status, as of December 2025.
The cartridges in question are as follows:
- Piko Interactive Collection 2
- Indie Heroes Collection 1
- Mega Cat Studios Collection 2
- The Sydney Hunter Collection
So, what does it mean when an Evercade title becomes a Legacy cartridge? Essentially, it means that as of the announced date, they’ll no longer be produced, and once the existing stock at all retailers is sold through, your only option to pick them up will be via eBay.
It’s not ideal, and Blaze’s insistence on numbering cartridges means that there will be almost unavoidable gaps in the collections of Evercade fans who arrive late to the party. It’s a sad fact of licensing deals and economics, unfortunately though, so cartridge numbering aside, it’s something that Blaze can’t really be blamed for.
What this means is that, if you don’t own the above titles and want them for your collection, grab them while you can. Personally, I’d avoid the sports-focused Piko Interactive Collection 2, but all of the others are well worth seeking out.
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
