The spies are getting away with the data that Starfleet are desperate to protect, but Miller and his colleagues are determined to stop them, whatever the cost. Of course, when it comes to being a red-shirted member of Starfleet, that cost is usually very high…
This is an absolutely fantastic series; despite the overwhelming number of cast members we were initially introduced to, the cast is now a much more manageable size due to the, well, expendable nature of the Redshirts.
Most of this issue takes place in a single location, with a vertiginous battle taking place and seemingly no one safe from the danger of the situation they find themselves in.
There’s a pulse-pounding, heartbreaking rescue sequence and even a bit of transporter-related body horror; it’s riveting stuff. Along with this, the cliffhanger is excellent too.
Even for non-Trek fans, this is quite the thrill-ride; it’s certainly not like any Star Trek I’ve experienced before, and with its deliberately expendable cast, it continues to be extremely, and excitingly, unpredictable.
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!
All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
