In this issue, we get a good look at Samantha’s past, and an explanation as to why her parents are no longer in Woodbrook. Meanwhile, other pieces are moving into place in the present, and Sam continues to lure Monica closer. Will Sam give her enough clues to lead Monica to discover who was responsible for his gruesome death and burial?
There’s a real sense of being reminded here that no, we shouldn’t be rooting for Sam in any way whatsoever. She is an absolute, stone cold monster. Seemingly willing to do anything to ensure her own comfort and needs are fulfilled, there are some truly grim revelations here.
And it seems that her game with Monica is Sam livening up her everyday life. Perhaps she wants to get caught; the thrill of the chase and the challenge of escaping the net proving too great to ignore.
One thing is for sure: this series, along with its predecessor, are among the most riveting and brilliantly crafted comics I’ve read for some time. You can tell by the fact that I’m reviewing them at such a pace that I simply cannot put them down, which is high praise indeed.
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!
All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
