Samantha has been manipulating poor Monica for the past few issues, seemingly in an attempt to divert the blame from her own long-running, murderous activities. Despite how meticulously planned everything has been, the breadcrumbs end up leading back to Sam. So how will Monica react, and can she get away when there’s such a methodical, remorseless psychopath so close to her? Meanwhile, the fallout from Sam’s long , clandestine horror spree continues to affect the town of Woodbrook in various ways; how will they react, knowing there wasn’t just a second serial killer in town, but that she was the first, along with being one of the most trusted members of the community?

Patrick Horvath’s script sees the tension breaking in spectacular fashion here, with an unbelievably eventful, action-packed issue that pays off various plot points in almost entirely unforeseen ways.

It shouldn’t be a shock to see just how prepared Sam is for the fallout arising from her unmasking, or the lengths she’s prepared to go to in the interests of self-preservation, and yet it still is.

One of the saddest aspects of this series has been poor Pauline’s grief and subsequent descent into addiction,  and even that pays off here.

With one issue to go, it feels like we’re heading towards a shocking conclusion, in one way or another. Horvath’s script (and stunning art) is certainly keeping us readers glued and unprepared for everything that’s thrown at us; let’s see if Sam is able to make her getaway yet again.

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
