After the disappointment of the annoyingly wordy and overstuffed third issue, this fourth issue of the campy Harley Quinn x Elvira crossover actually remembers to have fun again.
Stuck in Dracula’s castle, the two bosom buddies of the title draw the attention of the vampire Lord’s three wives, who want Harley and Elvira gone. There’s also someone who’s out for revenge, so trouble is arriving on all sides for our dynamic duo.
Issue four really is fun, with tons of Universal Monsters-style action, along with some great gags and snarky references. There’s some real pop culture deep cuts here, especially on the final page, and no doubt numerous jokes that went over my head, considering their rapid fire pace. I did enjoy the little dig at the current Marvel/DC and DC/Marvel crossovers though!
I’m glad that the art seems to have settled back to being, well, decent too. It does make me wonder what went wrong with issue 3 that had it feeling so off, but I’m glad we’re returning to form now. Can that level of quality be maintained in issue 5? We shall soon see…
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
