Well look who’s back! Yep, here we are again with the latest issue of potentially the most bra-busting crossover in comic book history: Harley Quinn x Elvira!

As you can probably tell from that line art cover variant, Harley and Elvira are in (insert Tim Curry GIF here) spaaaaace! Accepting the invite of a Zardoz-era Sean Connery-alike to attend an intergalactic, interspecies wedding, it doesn’t take long before chaos ensues. Because wherever these two ladies go, trouble seems to follow.

I’m really enjoying this silly series. It’s gloriously camp, dialled up to 11, with references to all kinds of pop culture stuff thrown in at a relentless pace. The aforementioned Zardoz, of course, but Star Wars and much more is referenced here. It’s an awful lot of fun.

The art is fine, though the fact that Amanda Conner’s two pages (and she drew that cover too) are the strongest point, visually, feels a bit disappointing. There’s nothing particularly wrong with Juan Samu’s art, which is a great fit for the material; it just suffers in comparison to Conner’s work, in my opinion.

Anyway, this series has turned out to be incredibly entertaining, and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on issue 6 when it releases too!

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!
