Fate has some important information to reveal to our hero, and he’s not going to like it. Or rather, perhaps it’s the details he’s not so keen on; D’Orc learns a little too much about his conception than he’d prefer, but there’s also another, rather large revelation to come…

After a bit of an aimless and slightly repetitive start, which felt like D’Orc simply engaging in boss battles for the first few issues, the lore drops and development, not to mention the humour and heart, have really justified the excitement that D’Orc seems to have attracted from day one.

The surprisingly sexual nature of the jokes in this issue add a rather bawdy element to proceedings too, which isn’t unwelcome.

Brett Bean’s writing definitely seems to have become stronger even just in the last few issues, and of course his artwork continues to be absolutely gorgeous throughout.

I’m a bit late to checking out D’Orc #6, but, following the twist in this issue (which is somewhat predictable at a certain point, but still nicely handled), I’m now very keen to catch up and read D’Orc #7. So you can expect a review of the seventh issue very soon!
