Intergalactic crime fighter Space-Lady has a big problem: she is super hungover. In order to deal with the crimes occurring in her sector, she uses a protocol for her AI drones and goes back to sleep. Chaos ensues, of course, and Space-Lady is going to regret having so much space alcohol…

This is such an unbelievably fun comic. The work of a single creator, the pseudonymously-named Big Icky (aka Ashley Warwick), Space-Lady has a very anarchic, vulgar tone and tons of tiny, amusing details in its art; all of that certainly brings to mind the spirit of classic comic character, Tank Girl.

It feels just as underground, indie comix should: raw, unfiltered and unique. It’s also filled with hilariously deployed profanity (even in certain background details), and moments that made me genuinely laugh out loud. One scene of a guy questioning who Space-Lady was before immediately getting KO’ed by a door absolutely took me out.

Being a small press, independently produced comic, you might find it hard to find a print copy of Space-Lady #1, but digital copies are available from Big Icky’s Gumroad page. It’s worth checking out, and I’ll definitely be doing my best to track down the subsequent few issues too!

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
