Yes, I have the NSFW cover for Gastronomique #2. No, I’m not sharing it here! I’m sure you’ll be able to find it online, somewhere. It’s incredibly sensual, and as you’d expect, very explicit indeed.

Anyway, in this second issue, Charlotte and Zélie reconnect with a night of passion and lust. Their plans to pursue the cannibal Tarrare take a very surreal turn as their sexual exploration of each other continues, and a clue becomes apparent as they tap into Tarrare’s past…

There’s so many interesting themes at play here, but it’s not always made clear what’s actually going on. Within the extended, erotic scenes there’s also more body horror and a very interesting, repeated theme of gender fluidity.

I might not be entirely certain of what transpires here (are the women actually creating some sort of psychic bond with Tarrare as one of them seeks to ‘become’ him?), but it makes for some seriously striking, incredibly surreal and often very erotic imagery.

It’s all very unusual and intriguing, and I love the fact that it’s from an all female creative team too; it certainly gives the sexual scenes a very feminine touch, devoid of the male gaze that can make sequences of this nature somewhat exploitative or uncomfortable.

I look forward to seeing where this goes next; especially as it’s based much more in reality than I expected (seriously, if you value your sanity, don’t read the Wikipedia page on the actual Tarrare!).

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
