Currently seeking backers on Kickstarter, action RPG RalphGame is looking very promising indeed. Despite old school pixel art visuals, the gameplay is very modern in its design, with an open ended nature that allows you to play however you decide to.

I found it very intriguing that no non-story based battles are obligatory, meaning that most battles can be avoided if you choose to take a more peaceful option. On top of this, the script is witty and amusing – and the soundtrack is really impressive too.

Even more impressive is that RalphGame is the work of a one man development team, Karam Al-Kofahi. All of the coding, writing and even the music has been created by him.
