Anima Mundi Softworks have recently launched the crowdfunding campaign for their video game, The Threshold Dweller. It’s an open world RPG with real time combat that’s designed to recreate the feel of classic titles, with a wide range of influences including the Myst games, LucasArts point and click adventures and the Final Fantasy series.

The game itself will feature a huge world map to explore, an exhaustive but accessible levelling system and what sounds like an impressive level of improvisation when it comes to tailoring your approach to combat. There’s also town building elements too – whereby you can build and upgrade your own fortress and town.

The attention to detail and level of customisation is incredibly impressive, with some genuinely beautiful art design and lore. Check out the gorgeous world map:

With so many features and so much depth apparent in The Threshold Dweller, I’d urge you to check out the full list of key features, game mechanics and other information on the game’s Kickstarter page, which you can find here.

You can view the game’s trailer here:

With much of the game’s content already nearly complete, Early Access launch is just a few months away, with the full release anticipated towards the end of 2022.

The Kickstarter is running until the 30th of April; to help The Threshold Dweller become a reality, you can pledge at the Kickstarter page now.
