https://midlifegamergeek.com/2022/04/10/comic-book-review-snow-angels-1-2021/The cliffhanger of the first issue of Snow Angels – covered here – saw siblings Milliken and Mae, along with their father, needing to hide from The Snowman. As protector of The Trench – which the Trenchfolk must never leave – The Snowman has turned up to deal his lethal brand of justice. Who left The Trench? Why? And can our family of protagonists survive The Snowman’s terrifying rampage?

Though the premise doesn’t feel all that original – bringing to mind M. Night Shayamalan’s The Village and video game Horizon: Zero Dawn – the execution and world building gives it a unique feel that is all its own.

It’s tense, scary and full of intriguing lore; this issue does a great job at selling the threats that the humans face, as well as the background they believe has led to their current, rather precarious situation.

An incredibly compelling read that’s beautifully drawn by Jock, this is a comic I can’t recommend enough. Excellent stuff!
