With the terrifyingly relentless Snowman on their trail and their father injured, siblings Milliken and Mae must make a heartbreaking decision to save themselves. Could there be another opportunity for them to survive as a trio?
Jeff Lemire and Jock have hit upon a truly tense, involving and sometimes terrifying concept with Snow Angels – and this issue continues to pile on the drama and tragedy of living in a frozen, post-apocalyptic wasteland in which breaking the rules results in harsh, often fatal punishment.
Yet it’s clear that we have much to learn about the world that Snow Angels is set in – and this issue ends on one hell of a stunning cliffhanger. If you weren’t already hooked on this series by the final panel, that last shot is certain to have you reaching for the next issue immediately.
Snow Angels is a superb read – and deserves a much bigger audience than it’s reached thus far.
