It’s an exciting time to be a retro run-and-gun platform game fan, as cult classic Jim Power: The Lost Dimension is coming to PS4 and Switch, as well as re-releasing on SNES and finally releasing on Genesis/Mega Drive (this version was cancelled and only recently released on Evercade, in the Piko Interactive Collection 1). A completely new NES edition of the game is also on the way; marking the first time that Jim Power has been on an 8-bit console!

Pre-orders are kicking off on Sunday, May 29th, at 12 AM CET (midnight); these editions will only be available through Strictly Limited Games.

The various editions on offer are limited in number – and the more extravagant editions have some really spectacular collectibles included.

The Limited Edition is limited to 2,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,000 for PS4 (priced at 29.99€/34,99$), which also includes a game manual.

The awesome Special Limited Edition is surprisingly reasonably priced at 49.99€/54,99$. It’s limited to 1,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 500 for PS4 and includes lots of additional collectibles: 

• Special Limited Edition Box
• Reversible Cover 
• Original Soundtrack on 2 CDs 
• Anaglyphic 3D Glasses
• Double-sided Artwork Poster (A3 / 42 x 29,7 cm)
• Jim Power Replica Flyer ( A5 / 21 x 14,8 cm)
• Lenticular Card (A6 / 14,8 x 10,5 cm)
• Sticker
• Colorful Game Manual

Lastly, there are the retro editions, which are even more limited in number than the Special Limited Edition. These are as follows:

• Cartridge compatible with SNES® including the game based on the digital, enhanced re-release of the SNES® version. Limited to 149 PAL and 222 NTSC versions.
• Cartridge compatible with NES® with the newly developed version of Jim Power! Limited to 333 units. 
• Cartridge compatible with SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive coming with the never officially released Genesis version of Jim Power! Limited to 333 units.

Each version will be available for 49.99€ / $54.99. 

This often forgotten, underrated platform shooter is a welcome addition to the Strictly Limited Games range – and it’s wonderful to see it receiving such special treatment in terms of its spectacular Special Limited Edition as well as the excellent new retro versions.
