New discoveries are made as we head towards the conclusion of Snow Angels; there’s some really intriguing details revealed in this penultimate issue, which are difficult to talk about without spoiling the story.
I must admit that this is the best issue of Snow Angels Season Two so far, but it does unfortunately still leave a lot to be desired. Despite the revelations – which are pretty cool – there’s still too much to explain and it doesn’t feel as if there’s anywhere near enough time to do so in a way that’s going to feel satisfactory in any way.
It’s a real shame, because Jeff Lemire and Jock created an intriguing mystery with the first season; it just feels as if this second set of issues really has meandered until the central mystery became frustrating. I wanted to like Snow Angels, but the second half of the story has been paced badly, despite being illustrated perfectly by the aforementioned Jock.
