It’s rare that I’d showcase a game’s review scores or accolades, but I wanted to make an exception in the case of RITE.

That’s because the development of RITE feels like a true underdog story. RITE was created by a solo developer (plus a composer on soundtrack duties) – though from its beautifully polished visuals and tightly constructed, hardcore gameplay you’d never know it. This, of course, makes its brilliance even more of an achievement and it’s great to see critics responding accordingly.

I’m not usually a fan of hardcore, single screen platformers – usually finding them far too frustrating to be fun – but RITE had me spellbound almost immediately. Its tough-but-fair difficulty curve is pitched just right for my middle aged gaming skills (which are definitely not what they once were!).

You’ll find my own review of RITE at this link – and you can download the game yourself on Switch or PC now.

Enjoyed what you’ve read? Want to support my blog? There’s no pressure of course, but every penny helps to keep this site running, as I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages).

However, I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Thank you so much!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
