A magical mishap has jumbled up a variety of locations; despite being at least partially responsible, it’s up to little witch Harmony to put things right.

A cute, colourful puzzle game, Harmony’s Odyssey tasks players with switching blocks on cute, animated 3D dioramas – sometimes with multiple levels, stacked on top of each other – and getting them back in the right order.

Most instructions are given in illustration, with no in-game text that I can recall seeing at all. Everything is played and told via charming, whimsically designed animation.

The atmosphere is relaxed, as there’s no time limit and no punishment for getting blocks in the wrong order – so it makes for a very chilled out experience.

Occasionally, a mini-game may pop up – for example, a spot-the-difference puzzle or a simple hidden object scene – which gives players a break from the main game’s block-switching action.

With over 100 levels to complete across eight different biomes, there’s an awful lot of content to keep players entertained.

The basic block-switching is done so well and with such a lovely soundtrack that it remains really captivating from beginning to end.

Extra difficulty levels do turn up the challenge if you want to push yourself, with harder puzzles on offer if you do.

It’s a really well implemented concept that can’t help but win you over with its whimsicality; Harmony’s Odyssey is a lovely, cosy little game that’s perfect to curl up with on a cold winter’s night.

Thanks to the publisher for providing me with a code for Harmony’s Odyssey for review purposes. Harmony’s Odyssey is out now on Switch and Steam.
