Years after the fallout of Samantha Strong’s actions left Woodbrook scarred and transformed forever, four kids from the town take a trip out to the woods, and tell scary stories around the campfire. Given how they all grew up with the shadow of Sam looming over them, each one tells their own tale of their encounters, rumours and close calls with the murderous bear.

This is such a creative way to keep Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees fans occupied as we wait for the third (and, presumably, final) part of the saga. We get to see some of the mess that Sam left behind, in more ways than one, as well as how urban myths have sprung up around her in her absence.

It’s aa beautifully put together as you’d expect at this point, and there’s a clever, subtle change in art styles throughout as different stories are told too.

Even by the standards of the series, it’s very explicit in its gore at times, veering uncomfortably into torture porn territory for one particular story.

That said, dressing horrific scenes up in a Richard Scarry-esque aesthetic has been part of the appeal of Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees from the beginning, and we certainly have that here.

We also end with a great preview of the next chapter of Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, due in April 2027, which can’t come soon enough!

Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.

Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.

Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!

All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
