Retro-inspired, pixel art sci-fi shooter Last Soul by Wulum Games is currently seeking funds on Kickstarter. With a wide range of mechanics, addictive gameplay, beautiful art design and a great soundtrack, Last Soul is shaping up to be excellent, old-school fun.
The story sees robot BOP awakening, not knowing why he’s seemingly being targeted for termination. BOP soon discovers that he has an important role to play in saving mankind – in a world where humans have lost their will to live.
Last Soul has a deep lore and vibrant settings; stages such as the magical Forest of Color, the Great Valley of Death, and the rich stories of Old Earth all contribute to make an immersive and compelling experience.

The current plan is to bring Last Soul to a variety of platforms in 2022; PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam Deck versions are all on the cards.
With three days to go of the crowdfunding campaign and the fund total currently at 57% of its goal, it needs a big push to get over the line. Here’s hoping that it manages to get there, because Last Soul has been made with clear passion and creativity, with inspiration taken from some classic video game milestones, such as Mega Man and Super Mario Bros.
Don’t just take my word for it though – you can try the Last Soul Prologue on Steam right now (here).
You can back it on Kickstarter here – and check out the game’s trailer below:
