Few companies have had as big an mpact on video games culture in general than Taito have. Just for Space Invaders alone, their influence on gaming and even pop culture is immeasurable – but of course, they were also at the forefront of arcade and home gaming with plenty of other iconic titles too.

Taito Milestones – which is being released in both digital and physical form for the Nintendo Switch on April 15th – is a collection of titles from the company’s arcade history that deserve another look.

With so many genres represented, it shows just how much innovation Taito constantly sought to bring to gaming – the collection contains platform, puzzle, scrolling beat ’em up, shoot ’em up, sports games and more across its 10 title selection.

ININ are on publishing duties for the standard physical edition and Strictly Limited have two special editions on offer as well.

It’s just the kind of deep, nostalgic dive into gaming history that always catches my attention, with games that I may have seen or heard of back in the day, but rarely had a chance to play. You’ll be able to try them all out for yourself when Taito Milestones releases for the Switch in just a few weeks time.
