Doctor Strange is on hand to assist, as Blade and his companions look to get their hands on an artifact that can take down the terrifyingly powerful Adana.

Which involves a heist on a train which never stops – and one filled with henchmen, as well as a sort of end of level boss, of the type that Blade has plenty of experience with.

It’s another corker of an issue from Bryan Edward Hill, who seems to have an awful lot of fun with the sarcastic, know-it-all Doctor Strange within its pages.

Valentina Pinti and Elena Casagrande do another great job with their art, perfectly complementing Hill’s action-movie-on-paper scripting.

There’s also a visual callback in several scenes to Guillermo Del Toro’s Blade II, which I very much enjoyed.

Though this issue takes Blade back into more familiar territory in terms of the threats he has to face down, it’s no less entertaining than previous issues.

And it sets us up for a great conclusion in the next issue too.
