As a lifelong fan of 2000AD and its flagship character, Judge Dredd, it feels like this latest release for Pinball FX VR is aimed directly at me.
It’s a recreation of an excellent, 1993 machine released in the real world by Bally. It’s thankfully before the 1995 movie, so what we have here is completely based on the style and content of the comics.
Which makes it absolutely superb,.just content-wise alone. It does help that it’s full of little fan service references, but if you’re not familiar with the character or his world, there’s still a lot to like on this boldly colourful, very well designed machine.

Dealing with crimes and attempting to defeat the Dark Judges during the multiball mode is all pretty straightforward stuff, and makes for a compelling game.
I do love that you have Dredd himself watching you from beside the table as you play. You can even play it in SUPER GAME mode, which the real table featured (and which was never used for any other machines after this one), giving you an immediate multiball mode.

It’s another excellent addition to the ever growing arcade of machines for Pinball FX VR, which has become so sizeable that an elevator now takes you to a different floor to find certain machines!
Hi! I’m Jason, and I write for midlifegamergeek.com, every single day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human created content (which has never been plagiarised or otherwise copied from the hard work of other writers), you can donate and help me to keep this site running.
Not only do I earn no income from my writing here (though I may earn small fees from affiliate links posted on my pages; as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work has, at times, been stolen and re-used by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure of course, but I’d be truly grateful for any support that you could offer – and it’s easy to do so at either of these links: Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or PayPal.
Any donations are truly appreciated – and I also appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. Remember: this whole article was by Jason Brown, and appeared on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

Help support me here!
All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! Please be aware though: there’s no pressure. I just hope you’ve enjoyed reading my article!
