A dark secret lurks in a hideous egg, which seems to be able to feed on dinosaurs in order to grow whatever is inside it. Elsewhere, the mighty Supersaur, Batsaur and Wonderdon seem to be struggling with various issues: Batsaur is not one to trust others and Supersaur wants to be able to protect his human parents, but won’t be able to protect the rest of the prehistoric world if he doesn’t leave home. It seems that the aforementioned egg may be getting close to hatching, however – so the Jurassic League are going to need to work together very quickly!

I’m not the biggest DC universe fan at all, but Jurassic League is an absolute blast so far. I’m really enjoying the incredibly colourful, brilliantly stylised and pun-filled prehistoric take on the DC universe.

Some of the action is a little disjointed and at times it can be difficult to keep up with what’s actually going on overall, but it’s currently worth sticking with as there’s a cleverly designed world here; for example, Batsaur doing detective work using cave paintings is absolute genius.

I’d recommend giving Jurassic League a shot even if you have only basic knowledge of the DC universe; it’s definitely unlike any Elseworlds/multiverse tale I’ve ever read before.
